How can LLMs help researchers navigate scientific literature more effectively?

In this session, @nfdixcs researchers show how large language models support literature analysis in real research workflows – including a live demo of a Zotero plugin that integrates #LLM-based information extraction into a familiar tool and a Q&A.

❄️ Winter Data Wonder – A Time Capsule for Reproducible Research

NFDI×CS is developing the Research Data Management Container (RDMC): a way to bundle data, code, and environments into a single, citable “time capsule.”
This enables long-term reuse, re-execution, and transparent verification — even for sensitive data.

LLM-Based Information Extraction to Support Scientific Literature Research and Publication Workflows

How can large language models make scientific research more FAIR and discoverable? Our latest work within NFDIxCS explores how AI can automatically extract key concepts from research papers—linking publications, data, and software more effectively to support transparent and efficient scientific workflows.

Our first #nfdixcs Summer School is officially wrapped! It was great to get so many different perspectives on Open Science and to discuss research data and software management challenges with other (early career) researchers. The flexible agenda, with working and discussion slots alongside keynotes, seemed to work well, and the positive feedback gave us the impression that our concept was a success.
A big thank you to Prof. Dr. Bastian Pfleging and the TUBAF Team for hosting us in Freiberg!
