❄️ Winter Data Wonder – Big Microscopy Data at Your Fingertips
NFDI4BIOIMAGE shows how even a 100-GB microscopy dataset can be accessed on a smartphone using OME-Zarr — a cloud-compatible format that enables streaming large image data directly in the browser.

In addition to the numerous #NFDI4BIOIMAGE talks at #CoRDI2025, many posters will be presented in Aachen from 26 to 28 August. @nfdi4bioimage will present posters on cloud-based data infrastructure, automation, FAIR principles, interoperability, and user-friendly analysis environments for the bioimaging community.

This post demonstrates the NFDI4BIOIMAGE Knowledge Graph (N4BIKG). Many aspects of this project are still very much in the flow including a consensus on which ontologies and terms to employ, how to define various namespaces and much more. These issues left aside, I focus on two components: First, the "core" KG contains information about the NFDI4BIOIMAGE consortium, it's participating institutions and people working in or for NFDI4BIOIMAGE, publications (via zenodo records submitted to the NFDI4BIOIMAGE community) and some more.
