We’re watching Northern Exposure on Prime. It’s unlike anything that’s made today.

The “Final Frontier” ep mixes Japan’s economic ascendancy, tourism, homophobia, children’s books (Paddle to the Sea), the Voyager’s departure from the Heliosphere, the individual vs wilderness, and the social experience of private property, and so much more.

Several of the eps are the epitome of television. Some doesn’t hold up to current mores, but it’s also fun to see how far we’ve come. #television #nexp
