The moment Mendy took out Melendez and Baty the Mets stopped hitting, full stop. And then the people he put in to replace those two both came up in the bottom of the 9th against a right-handed pitcher anyway.

I get righty-lefty, but changes to the lineup need to be reserved for when it's most impactful. If my team is up or tied (at home) in the 5th or 6th inning, I'm keeping the lineup that brought us there, no matter what arm side the new reliever throws from.

Because right now, any opposing manager can bring in a pitcher in the 5th or 6th of any game and completely screw up our lineup because mendy doesn't want righty-on-righty.
