Random #newyearresolution of mine was "dammit, you have a huge pile of games in #GOG library you're not playing, so play them, goddamn it".

Today's random toe-dips:

- #DungeonHack. I played a little bit before, but didn't get too far. This is essentially a #roguelike (inspired by Hack/Nethack I guess) but with official D&D license and running on Eye of the Beholder engine. Damn, the marriage of 320x200 VGA era to 2nd ed AD&D aesthetics is *rad*.

- #Syberia. I had this game on PC long ago, and played it a little bit then, but apparently the web store I bought it from vanished. Snag'd it GOG during a sale. I tried playing the game on Xbox 360 and Switch but, eh, it's a point-and-click adventure, might as well point and click. I *really* need to finally play through this!

I have not got round to blogging for a few months, so of course I did not have my #NewYearResolutions written up and published (but hey #Nowruz is still a few weeks away!) - but one #NewYearResolution that will definitely be on that list is - I will definitely reprioritize my community involvement to favour those where I can discuss things without being ambushed by hearing about #AI_slop over and over again

For #DayJob, realistically it's hard to avoid AI mandates, but for community contributions... hmm...

2025年全年锻炼率好凄惨，基本靠上半年的数据。其它的基本和之前齐平。还算满意吧。

2025全年都过得很动荡。

希望2026年安稳一点吧，但这是不可能的，总之先这么预期吧。

Watched the latest Adam Neely vid.

"So if you're broke, please just do what everybody in my generation did and crack a copy of FL Studio and get to work."

I actually *have* a copy of #FLStudio! It just never gets used because I'm a crap composer and a massive scatterbrain. (Also, the FL Studio pricing model is really nice, it's a permanent license with unlimited upgrades and you can just upgrade your license later - so even if I was a brokeass, I didn't need to pirate it.)

I guess he's right, I should get to work. So I'll probably make some music now!

I just don't know where to really publish that stuff. I now have a #Loops account too, I *guess* I could put stuff there?

(Also, mildly annoying thing: My copy of FL Studio is licensed under my boringname. Looks like Image-Line now allows changing the name you have on their file, but this doesn't change the name on the app. Which doesn't matter *that* much, but it shows up in the default filename.)
