I built these Adirondack chairs from plans in Norm Abram’s Classics from The New Yankee Workshop book about 25 years ago. They’ve been out in the #pittsburgh weather all those years and needed a tuneup. A little sanding and screw tightening and they’re good as new plus a little patina. The redwood from Brookside lumber has held up pretty well all these years.

I'm SO happy that #NewYankeeWorkshop, all 18 seasons of it, is on YouTube. I used to enjoy watching it so much when I was younger and (along with #ThisOldHouse) years later the frustration of not being able to find it to watch anywhere in the UK would drive me to find people like 10 Minute Workshop, Gosforth Handyman, Woodworking for Mere Mortals, Scott Brown and so many others on YouTube instead.

The New Yankee Workshop

Hosted by master carpenter Norm Abram, who is legendary for his woodworking skills, The New Yankee Workshop has guided millions of viewers through the hands-on process of furniture making. Working in a 936-square-foot workshop, Norm would complete a typical episode of The New Yankee Workshop in two days. He did all the work himself, using an assistant only for clean up and finishes. Each episode in the series offers step-by-step instructions for building furniture and other woodworking projects.

Okay. Holy moly. The producer of #NewYankeeWorkshop has begun releasing all of the seasons of the show on a YouTube channel Seasons 1,2 and 3 so far https://www.youtube.com/@newyankeeworkshop/playlists

After the latest Colin #Furze video I have what can only be described as the severest case of #shed envy known to man. I thought it was bad with the #NewYankeeWorkshop and #MythBusters but this is a chronic infection taken to another level. I need a lottery win. #ToolPorn
