Today is #NewInkDay, this time from China by a brand I've not heard of before (Backstage Forest).
Very pricy but I couldn't resist these colors, and Chinese ink brands don't fuck around when it comes to shimmer.
The frosted guave is possibly the weirdest ink I own, it looks like mud with glitter when wet, then dries into any color between pastel green and red/pink.
The bottles come with eyedroppers which I don't hate, but the openings are too small for dip pens. Boo for that
#NewInkDay: Diamine Hope Pink in the Lamy 2000. Went for "Still I Rise" by Mary Angelou.
An unapologetic poem, vibrant with life, to go with a audaciously pink ink.
I think the world would be a better place if we all learned to laugh like we've got gold mines diggin' in our own backyards.

I was kind of "meh" about this ink until I tried it with a broad nip.

I'm especially obsessed with the Estie ink, it dries to a stunning color. Well worth the money!

The fuyu-gaki is a wonderful orange red colour. I love it. It's so smooth in the parker. It's like writing on glass.
The Jacques Herbin is unfortunately disappointing. While I can smell a sense of some perfume from the ink, it also smells rather... Dead, like all the volatile compounds died two years ago. It's also very very scratchy in the Waterman: it makes me feel as if I'm using a quill.
