I just finished reading “Quicksilver Chronicles” by Frances K Woods.
The book comprises the author’s semi-fictionalized, and surreal, memoirs spanning about a decade, beginning at the turn of this century, depicting what life throws at her family of gem-mining misfits struggling to live with a lethally polluted watershed in a forgotten western ghost town, named New Idria.
