My supervisor has returned all his feedback to me, and it is achievable. He'll review two sections of the thesis once I've made the changes but the rest he doesn't need to see again.

So once I review these sections and tidy my references, by Monday, I could be ready to submit. And I'll be done!

(Done 'for now', that is. It's a long process of completion, this thing. I need to submit it, then it'll get marked, then I'll get the revisions back from the markers, then I'll do them and resubmit it, and then I'll be finished properly. So the 'done' part is still honestly months away. But that's OK!)

You know the laundry pile you have? It never ends, right?

Think of that pile of pain you haven't let go of yet as laundry that you just never do. It just sits there - eternally.

Healing allows you to clear off the pile. The point of healing is to do away with the pile of pain.

Self-awareness allows you to stop adding to the pile. The goal is that we shouldn't be putting anything in the pile to start with. We learn how to manage our experience within ourselves and then we don't have to save it for later.

Unlike your laundry, which will keep coming back, the pile of pain is meant to stop. It's not meant to be a never-ending cycle.

You don't need a pile of pain. It's not helping you. It's okay to let it go. It's also okay to stop adding to the pile.
