why am I looking up #neutron sources? this is pointless. leaving aside the safety issues, I can't think of a good use for generating neutrons, not for anything we would like to do

🚀 Rocket Lab annonce le report du premier lancement de #Neutron au 4e trimestre 2026, suite à la perte du réservoir du premier étage lors d'un test en janvier.

Rocket Lab s'attendait à ce que cet élément résiste aux tests hydrostatiques (remplissage du réservoir avec de l'eau).
Un défaut de fabrication a entraîné une réduction de la résistance au niveau d'une jonction critique du réservoir. Cette zone a été modifiée sur les réservoirs suivants afin d'augmenter la marge de sécurité.
