Good that #NeuroscienceMigration now is a thing. I really missed my neurosciuence colleagues after leaving twitter :-)
The ongoing #NeuroscienceMigration has led me to neuromatch.social so I'll repost my #introduction. I'm a cognitive neuroscientist interested in biological mechanisms of disorders of memory and cognition, especially in aging and dementia. I love acetylcholine, prefrontal cortex, data analysis, R, and musical theater.

Hi everyone! I help biomedical researchers write and communicate their science. I'm a neuroscientist by training. I love to garden and knit, and I'm an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Great advice-poem from Richard Sutton @ DLRLSS 2019:
"To write is to begin to think.
To write in a special place,
- a book such as this -
is to honour your thoughts
and to help them build,
one upon the other."

A fast track to finding accounts to follow is to use hashtags but it will build naturally as those you follow boost accounts you didn't know about.

Looking forward to continuing to interact with #neurotwitter on all things #CompNeuro #NeuroAI in a distributed manner beyond the reach of a billionaire's whim.
Hey everyoneβ€”short intro after moving my account from mastodon.social. I am a behavioral neuroscientist studying the neural mechanisms of emotional learning and memory in rats. The lab has been instrumental in defining the neural circuits underlying the contextual control of extinguished fear memories; this has broad relevance to context-dependent memory more generally.

Thought I’d write a quick #introduction! I'm a Professor at the University of Toronto where my lab studies the neural and cognitive mechanisms supporting memory and perception.

Recently, we’ve launched a line of research that seeks to translate core principles from memory science into tangible solutions to mitigate memory loss. You can read about our first attempt here: https://psyarxiv.com/2fwup/.

Very happy to be part of the #NeuroscienceMigration and to connect with you here!

An introduction after moving my account to neuromatch.social -

I'm a neuroscientist at #Cornell. My recent research focuses on psychoactive drugs such as #ketamine and #psychedelics. I want to know how these compounds act on #dendrites and cortical microcircuits to mediate behavioral effects.

Outside of the lab, I enjoy drinking a good cup of espresso and rock climbing with my kids.
