Do you know, what's not nice?

If you reply in a thread, to use special abbreviations, terms or references to events, books, films which are neither common knowledge nor are so closely related to the thread's topic that you can suppose everyone being on the same page, without explanation.

To me, this makes you look like a condescending dick, not like being funny, witty or smart.

Es gibt ja immer noch sehr viele Leute, die hier einfach irgendwelche Links posten - ohne Überschrift, ohne Kontext, teils völlig kryptische Buchstabenfolgen die noch nicht mal im Ansatz Hinweise auf das Linkziel oder das Thema geben.

Welche Erwartungshaltung besteht da? Ich jedenfalls werde niemals auf so einen Link klicken oder sowas teilen.

When people ask, explain in detail. No matter how obvious you think your statement was. People out there may honestly not know and you giving links to context helps not only them but also all other readers of your posts.
