2082 was certainly..... a year, for our little country.
A lot happened.. A lot of pain, loss, of innocent lives, of young heroes who wanted to be a part of the change.
But through it all, came a lot of change. Huge, systemic change. A revolution! New faces, ideas, leadership. A promise of change, and to honor those we lost bringing it.
There is newfound hope. So while I can't exactly promise happy, I wish my fellow #Nepali a Hopeful New Year 2083!

A questo si aggiunge il fenomeno della migrazione lavorativa, che ha spostato le responsabilità agricole e domestiche principalmente sulle donne, costringendole a operare in aree ad alto rischio.
Gli incidenti mortali avvengono spesso durante attività di sussistenza come il taglio dell’erba o il pascolo del bestiame in zone boschive e di transizione, dove la presenza umana e animale si sovrappongono. Sebbene la conservazione delle tigri in Nepal sia un successo celebrato a livello mondiale, sta crescendo il rischio per le comunità rurali, in particolare per le donne che dipendono dalle foreste per la loro sopravvivenza quotidiana. Inoltre, le donne sono spesso assenti dalle istituzioni che determinano le politiche di conservazione.

Women living in the villages bordering the Bardiya National Park are increasingly exposed to conflicts with wildlife. Their daily tasks, such as collecting fodder and firewood, take them into the forests, where encounters with tigers and other wild animals are common. This is compounded by the phenomenon of labor migration, which has shifted agricultural and domestic responsibilities primarily onto women, forcing them to work in high-risk areas.
Fatal incidents often occur during subsistence activities such as cutting grass or grazing livestock in wooded and transitional zones, where human and animal presence overlap. Although the conservation of tigers in Nepal is a globally celebrated success, the risk is growing for rural communities, particularly for women who depend on forests for their daily survival. Furthermore, women are often absent from the institutions that determine conservation policies.
