Mistigram: this #ANSIart logo represents the handiwork of two artists, Neophyte and “ds” who I’m going to interpret here as Dead Soul. I don’t know what eb was but EB (“Electronic Boutique”) Games was a going concern here in 1997 so I’m going to retroactively assign it to them. It was included in the Mistigris World Tour stop with Fistful of Steel in the FOS-0197 artpack collection released 29 years ago this month.

Mistigram: From late 1996 through early 1997, the Acrylic Art Scene Newsletter delivered the breaking news, rumours and gossip about the affairs of the underground computer art scene on a weekly basis. This logo for it was drawn by Neophyte and released as part of our Mistigris World Tour stop with Fistful of Steel in the FOS-0197 artpack collection.
GregI have entered the 3d printer scene unexpectedly. An Ender 3 Pro has been rehomed. Cost was low. The device has a stout list of upgrades.
It’s and older model, sir, but it checks out.
So far I’ve learned to level the bed, remove filament and load filament. Initial prints were adequate but boy do I have lots to learn.

#Fleabane #Erigeron #annuus is an #invasive #neophyte in #Europe, originally mative from Canada to Florida (USA). It arrived in Europe and #Asia as an ornamental plant in the 18th century and became naturalized.
C. Wang et al. (2020) studied it in China finding one #alienspecies be able to "generate a #favorable" #speciescommunity #habitat that is beneficial for following ones, using #Solidago #canadensis as 2nd alien.

The #blackhorehound #Ballota #nigra (#Lamiaceae) originates from the Mediterranean region and has spread northward from there. It is a #neophyte in New Zealand and North America, for example. The authors M. J. M. Christenhusz et al. (2023) present the "first high-quality #genome of B. nigra subsp. foetida."
