1-2. Motel Express, originally Rip Van Winkle Motel, since 1949. Neon illustrates downtown Seattle, about 30 miles away.

4. El Paraiso restaurant, downtown; they have multiple locations, all with neon.
Downtown Everett. These buildings both feature marquee bulb (bulb letter) signs, where open face channel letters are lit from within by hundreds of light bulbs. This tech goes back to the 1890s, but declined in the '30s as neon lighting caught on; neon was more durable and easier to maintain.

Apex Everett, an event space in a historic building downtown. Inside, a custom LED sign points to the bar, El Sid, whose namesakes are the legendary hero El Cid and rocker Sid Vicious.

Anthony's HomePort Restaurant, Everett. Anthony's occupies a functioning lighthouse with a rotating beacon, overlooking a marina, with views of the Olympic Mountains across the Sound.

Everett Motel, which included a smoke shop, closed in 2012 and was demolished in 2015. The site is now a vacant lot, and only this broken neon sign remains.
