I know that the Neon Genesis Evangelion universe is essentially... done... with the last movie, with everyone potentially getting the best possible outcomes for themselves (one hopes, anyway).

But... there's still so much meat left on the bone for other stories to be told within the same general setting, especially when you take into account the whole parallel reality / time loop mechanism.
