Good morning Fedi friends. Back to double figures last night, but only just at 10c. Another beautiful #Autumn morning, lots of dew on the grass, a beautiful blue sky & heading to a lovely 25c. No rain on the horizon for this week so a few things will need a hose watering, but at the moment all is still very damp. I do have to top up the bird bath though for my flying visitors.
Him next door is getting a new bathroom from the look of the trailer in the driveway containing his sink & shower stall glass, which looks as though it’s never been cleaned 😬. I don’t know whether to feel smug that my bathroom still looks really clean & in good repair after nearly 15yrs or miffed that he gets a new bathroom after less than 10yrs 🤣😂.
The tradie will shift if I need to go out. I’m not sure that I will be though. I need nothing & my daughter is coming here after she’s done some jobs. If we need to go out we can use her vehicle. Hoping to do a spot of potting today, making new plants from the spider plant trailers. A couple of things need tidying up but there’s nothing urgent.

Good morning tooting friends. It’s still overcast outside, but there are patches of blue in amongst the grey clouds. So of course I’ve stripped the bed & washed the sheets. Just daring it to rain some more & a little is forecast later this morning. 17c when I got up in the dark of pre dawn & it will reach 27c today.
Yesterday afternoon after the rain eased I took a step stool outside & had a sneak look over him next doors side fence that we share as I can see it is always wet under the fence on his side & rain flows from his back area through to mine & pools in the corner of my back area. His drain is blocked, the lid is off it & it’s full of debris. The whole of his back area is a mess. So I’m not surprised this keeps happening. It’s not the main source of my flooding issues, but it is a part of it 😏. Still deciding how to deal with it, without having to deal with him.
On a better note my back is much better, not perfect as it’s still a little tight, but it’s not painful anymore. I’m off for my last swim for this week & feeling very happy about that. Then home to change & back out to do some jobs, grab some veg & hopefully over to Albury to visit my sister who is still in the Base hospital. Parking is an absolute nightmare over there & getting worse all the time so hopefully I can find a park not too far away.

Good morning Fedi friends & it’s a muggy grey & warm morning of 19c with 95% humidity. It won’t be getting much warmer either as it’s forecast to only reach 23c & the rain is supposed to be clearing by this evening. It’s been good soaking rain & not a deluge & my garden & I appreciate it.
Something odd going on with him next door. He went out at 5.30am & came back at 6am driving up the driveway in his big ute & it is still parked in the driveway with the drivers side door wide open 🤷🏼‍♀️. While he & I don’t get on & I won’t engage with him generally. This is very unusual & I hope all is ok as he’s rarely blocking the driveway for anything more than about 15mins nowadays - unlike some years ago when I was forever asking him to move so I could go out. Which if he’s still there in an hour I’ll have to do 😏. I hate having to deal with these things, it spikes my anxiety.
Simple day today, no swimming unfortunately as I want a haircut if I can, also a spot of grocery shopping, just stocking up on my essentials & then to Bunnings for potting mix & maybe a plant or two - I do love payday 😁.

My elderly neighbour who used go give me home baked cookies and cinnamon rolls (until I became vegan and could not eat it anymore) rang my doorbell.

Her mobile prompted her to enter sim-PIN and she did not know what to do.

She lives by herself and she is 84 years old.
She can't currently use her bike either so she is kind of stranded.

After a little while she found her doughter's phone number so we called her and she knew where the sim-PIN was, so in the end the problem was solved.

No easy to not being able to communicate and on top of that not being able to get anywhere.

Good morning Fedi friends. It was a smoky 20c when I got up at 6am & today it’s getting a little warmer again reaching 36c. At the moment the light & air quality isn’t great with all the smoke around. Usually when I can’t see the distant hills from my garden it’s due to rain, at the moment it’s due to smoke. There’s a lovely cool breeze though which will hopefully dissipate the smoke somewhat.
There was something in the driveway at 4am, at first I thought it was him next door going out, but as I heard him leave at 6am maybe it was his cat in his stinky bin, as it doesn’t have a lid.
Planning a Balance class this morning & then heading to the supermarket for a few bits & pieces. Also going to Bunnings for a new mop, I have a few mops & they’re never that good, even my steam mop is hard work. I used the homeowners one at my last sit, so I’ve googled & Bunnings have them. All the others can go in the bin, or the recycle shop if they want them. I will keep the steam mop though.
