It was a white #nectarine (from #Costco) I was eating a while to couple of years back. As memory serves, it was juicy and so sweet. I dropped it in a pot and out grew a plant. After a season, it went to ground. About a foot tall now. What's interesting is that in NorCal, zone 9b, the weather has been blissfully warm during the day and it's sprouting - rearing to get the growing season started.

I'm thinking to prune the #Apricot tree partially shading it - so as not to stunt it's growth.

Bon, après le débat #brugnon / #nectarine d'hier, j'ai appris plein de choses intéressantes :
- le brugnon est une pêche à la peau lisse
- le brugnon pousse sur un pêcher
- il peut y avoir sur un même arbre pêches et brugnons
- le brugnon et la nectarine, c'est pareil, juste nectarine est le terme employé partout dans le monde sauf en France, où on dit brugnon
- enfin à l'origine, car maintenant, on dit nectarine
- mais quand même, le brugnon a son noyau qui adhère à la chair, pas la nectarine

en conclusion : ça change pas ma vie, j'en mange de toute façon rarement car on n'en trouve rarement qui poussent en France. et j'achète de fruits espagnols.

A bit of a challenge to eat it while I drove. 🤣 Wearing white shorts no less! But there's a reason I keep a full roll of paper towels in my car at all times 😁

* I don't buy fruit or berries unless I can smell them. I've only bought apricots ONCE in my life in the mid-80's. They were to die for. Been looking for that level since.

It’s down to 35° Celsius now.
