Fortress in the Swamp

And this is my drawing based on Pools of Darkness (MS Dos). There's water everywhere. Puddles. Streams. The fortress was already very close. It looks like this is a very swampy area. The elves didn't tell you about this. They simply asked you to quickly go and bring them the stolen artifact. Without it, they won't be able to hold back the onslaught of necromancers and skeletons

I've been playing with a fantasy world-building idea where necromancers are sort of like
priests. They belong to a religious organization and do last rites at funerals, allowing the
deceased to say their goodbyes. They also kinda look down on other schools of magic but consider them "necessary evils"

After playing a bunch of Diablo IV lately, for some reason I had the itch today to start up a new necro in II Resurrected (on Switch) to just do an oldschool summoner build for a kick. And it's nice, I don't have to scrounge money or gather anything to sell, since I have so much stored in the shared stash from other characters. I can just blast my way through and upgrade as I run across better gear.

Started up a new necro for the new season of Diablo IV (Loot Reborn). Got her up to almost level 20 in just a couple hours (playing Veteran). Been using the Sever build (https://maxroll.gg/d4/build-guides/sever-necromancer-leveling-guide).

Game's always fun as hell for someone who just dabbles around in it like I do.

Can't believe it, just beat Diablo (on Normal) in Diablo II (Resurrected) using just a level 28 necromancer, one merc, and one blood golem. Sure, I have some great gear and I had to portal back to town a few times to get supplies, but that's a personal best. Diablo will straight up kill you instantly with all kinds of character classes if you're not careful. And we're not even talking Baal, just Diablo. Tough. Just goes to show that necros are an amazing class, and that blood golem is the coolest.
