ncmpcpp (NCurses Music Player Client Plus Plus) is a ncurses based MPD client with many features inspired by ncmpc.
Andrzej Rybczak, the developer, says that no new, substantial features should be expected because the project is in maintenance mode. He does not have time to further develop the audio player. However, if there are any serious bugs or incompatible issues, he will fix them.
I'm pretty sure I've ranted about it before, but worth mentioning often. #mpd / #ncmpc is the greatest music-player experience I've ever had.
There's def a bit of a learning curve, but it's such a ridiculously stable / efficient way to serve up local music.
lol the fact that drm-laced music stuff doesn't play nice with #OpenBSD is a hidden blessing. Have missed cruising around a proper music library
