As tourist season fires up again, I hope the tourists treat the land and waters with greater courtesy than last year.
It saddens me that Wester Ross (where I am now) and Black Isle (where I am from) both feature so heavily in areas that are treated poorly for waste dumping.

Which essentially boils down to "no hi-vis? you're fair game to be killed because road". My immediate response to the article was #BanCars from that road. Too many cars are in black or, imo more dangerously, shades of grey paint.
Whilst I agree that road is dangerous, it's not dangerous because of the cyclist. It's certainly dangerous because of the self-confessing bad drivers.
I think that a cycle route could be formalised between Contin and Garve along the North side of Loch Garve, through Torrachilty forest. There's already a gravel road that does this.
