As tourist season fires up again, I hope the tourists treat the land and waters with greater courtesy than last year.

It saddens me that Wester Ross (where I am now) and Black Isle (where I am from) both feature so heavily in areas that are treated poorly for waste dumping.
Can't imagine visiting somewhere to see its beauty and then taking a shite at the side of the road.

Many people travel the NC500 route. This is no surprise, as the places this route passes through are truly worth visiting. However, there are gems along this route that escape the notice of travelers. This is one such place. Thurso is famous in itself, but... no one goes for a walk near Scrabster. This link presents this beautiful place.
