Today I photographed decorative trees near a residential complex again. The cloudy weather created very soft light without harsh shadows or overexposed areas. These conditions work especially well for calm urban photography because the colors stay natural and the greenery keeps its texture and depth. My desire to take photos erupted after a long week at work. On my way across town, I saw silver moss growing on a concrete wall, and I realized that I knew this species only as a resident of the cracks between paving stones. Here, however, it formed patches of growth, with stems protruding from it bearing reproductive sacs. It is very small and low, and its color really resembles silver.
