So what was lost in translation. I was looking at ‘The Emperors New Clothes’ the other day, and looking online for illustrations to review the Story. Wikipedia has a good write-up on the background of the lovable child’s tale, relating the fable of the vain king that is humbled by the most innocent of all, a child. Perhaps this is where the saying ‘out of the mouth of babes’ comes from, as the child comments on the kings state of undress. In true form, the commentators and illustrators have sanitized the writings to enhance the ‘body shame’ by twisting the story into a sanitized version of the original. Doing a google image search will immediately reflect this in the fact that the king’s cartoon images and drawings in the illustrations portray a person wearing some form of undergarment. I assume this has been done for a number of reasons, and no doubt the prime reason is to avoid the heavy handed censorship of the American literary sector. The reason that this strikes a chord with me is twofold. Firstly, it is ambiguous, giving the reader the impression that a person who wears an undergarment is naked/nude. Secondly and more importantly, as a naturist, I subscribe to the belief that there is no shame in the naked human form, it is not in and of itself offensive, and society should never be afraid of it. As a person that promotes body positivity, I see this story as one that tells a story that is not merely one about the vanity and humbling of a vain king, but one that tells us all that there is nothing wrong wrong with seeing a NAKED person. It also reflects the nature of the child, who questioned the emperor’s state of undress, but was not in any way (neither was the rest of the crowd) offended by the nudity of the emperor So why do we incessantly censor material that gives conflicting information to our children.

Why is nudity pornographic? Many of the social networks and video channels classify non-sexual nudity, naturism and nudism as pornography. How to we communicate the difference to these platforms, many of which are hosted in countries that have subscribed to the universal declaration of human rights, which afford a level of value to ‘the whole person’. It is a contradiction to say a country affords a person the due consideration and value that they deserve and yet communicates that certain parts of the ‘whole person’ are objectionable. I welcome comments from anyone that is not gymnophobic. https://dai.ly/x8p2vkw

at the risk of repeating myself, I am reposting the link to the 'nudity is not porn' video.
This is SFW, because it highlights a message, but does not have any uncensored nudity.
