Good Q! My writing goals are still in progress. Some are creative development, like finalizing my #NaNoWriMo2023, getting restarted on my #TimeTravel adventure, and new blog posts. I also want to do some major clean-up of my website, including renaming photos and updating links. Lastly, I’m hoping to do some new travel to inspire my core blog content. #AcrossTheCountry

So, #nanowrimo2023 is over. I'm trying my best to be kind to myself over what I accomplished. Because on one hand, I only got about a third of the way through it. On the other hand, that's still A LOT of writing that I otherwise might not have done without doing it for namowrimo. All of the writing was for a side-project called Greater Shadaloo City Regional. It's a regional fighting league set in the same canon as How Much in Bison Dollars. The story is framed as a series of newsletters reporting on event results.

I started to lose a lot of steam towards the end of the month. Some of that is because I'd gotten to a point where I was writing passed the point of where I had notes taken and just kind of needed to wing it... and the rest is because real life. Work stress. Life stress. I'd like to do this again next year, with more notes taken ahead of time. I'm going to continue writing just a bit more. I'd like to at least conclude the current arc of the story before eventually going back and editing everything I've written until it's worth posting. I'd like to make Greater Shadaloo City Regional a regular part of my content. I describe a majority of the content I do as "Live action fanfic" and I think it's cool that I've found something I can create that is just regular fanfic.
