If you look at the hash tag #namedAnts you can meet many members of the colonies.

#namedAnts is a good place to start for my pets.

Important Tulip Update:
I had not seen #tulipTheAnt for a few days and was a little concerned— but I just spotted her on the water feeder. I’m always so happy to see her since the max age for workers in two years, and she’s over that by some months.

I have also not seen the queen for two weeks— but she is like that. She has a hidden chamber — so I will take comfort in the new batches of eggs. #namedAnts

Tulip, the carpenter ant is having a chill Saturday hanging out with her 700+ sisters. She wants to know when I will name the rest of them... I'll get to it... eventually. (I will not.) Though I don't think there are enough colors and dots to tag them all. #namedAnts #tuliptheant #carpenterAnts #ants
I just refilled the sugar feeder. Guess who showed first? #namedAnts #tuliptheant #ants #carpenterAnts #camponotus

So here is an update on #tuliptheant the Eastern black carpenter ant median worker with pink dots on her gaster. Tulip has lost most of her paint. If it all flakes off I may lose track of her. She has been very active in the lower chamber bark project, and still hangs out on her branch.

She is over two years old and has seen her colony grow by 100s of ants. #namedAnts #ants

It always makes me smile when I can spot Tulip, the median carpenter ant before I go off to work. She wasn’t up to anything remarkable today. Just ant stuff. #namedAnts #tuliptheant
I’m doing an assembly with the girls today and the ones being left home have just discovered I’ve separated them from their queen and they are NOT happy. Please forgive me little ants, this is for education and will mean so much to the future of ant-human relationships! #namedAnts #tulip #tuliptheant #carpenterAnts
Quick Tulip update: Didn’t see her for a few days and started to worry since she getting up in years for an ant. Just spotted her in the lower chamber doing some patrolling around. She’s at least two years old. Still full of life. #namedAnts #tulip #ants #tuliptheant
