Are claw styles (long or short) ones you *have* to build on the natural nail? If not, can y'all point me to good entry level "just fucking around but Will get frustrated by obviously shitty materials" false nails for it?

I wanna play around with the concept but hate the idea of concentrated UV on my fingertips, so building off nail and just using nail glue and not UV cure hold stuff for it works for me.
