Sir Francis Drake finishes his circumnavigation of the globe — the first Englishman to sail the full spiral of the Earth.

But I imagine it like this:

Jörmungandr finished snaking his way around the world,
chasing his own tail back home —
and found that no comb
could compare to the curled
beginning he had waiting for him
in an English creek swim.

Because the Earth has no edge — only return.
