Since we finished #MythicQuest we're more watching the #SideQuest anthology. The episode about the cellist. Oof.

I play (or rather I used to play and now I keep meaning to get back to playing) the #cello myself and I've seen exactly what the woman in that episode went through. So many excellent musicians that I once knew had nervous breakdowns and lost the music.

It was only ever something fun I did, and that got me into my mom's world (she plays the oboe, English horn, and several... 1/n

I don’t know if I’m in the minority, but I actually liked the first version of #MythicQuest S4 finale more than the revised version.

When Ian and Poppy do NOT kiss, their relationship does not take that one final step too far that would make them realise that they shouldn’t go there. Now they just stay where they have always been, and I feel like that would cause them some problems in the future. I don’t know if I’m making any sense, but to me it feels like in order for them to grow and build a better relationship, they need to try and make it romantic and then immediately regret it, and that would make them truly value the thing they have going.

I guess that’s one way of handling the ending. A total retcon. Not sure it’s really that much of a goodbye, just keeping the status quo that has been going in circles for years, but resolving the original ending would have required more than five minutes, so…

On the other hand, that resolution could potentially have ultimately left the characters in a healthier situation than this, which, like I said, kept them stuck where they always were.

Having finally gotten around to seeing it, the new "Mythic Quest" ending is right up there with the tacked-on "Star Trek: Discovery" epilogue as among the most unnecessary revised endings in recent memory.

Well Apple TV cancelled Mythic Quest, it's a shame but I think this last season had run out of steam a little.

Weirdly though they cancelled it after the season had finished with a cliffhanger for next season, then they let them go back for reshoots and aired an episode with an alternative ending!

It might have happened before, but it's maybe a first? Anyway, I prefer the alternative ending.

We're just into season 3 of #MythicQuest and I'm really happy with how the show is evolving. The CW Longbottom episodes at the end of season 2 were especially excellent. Too bad that the actor screwed up on set and got canned. But the send-off of his character at the start of season 3 was pretty good.

Something I always wanted to do was write fiction. But alas there isn't much money in that unless you get extremely lucky.
