Lunya's Mini Mods - Devlog #1

Just Updated a Mod I wrote for #MySummerCar in 2021 with it's first new version in that entire time.
With a mod I wrote for a different game. Compatibility was about 4 If's.
Managed to finally get a new pair of wheels fitted. Drove the Satsuma down the road, giving it a bit of the large. Suddenly something goes CLANG and everything goes quiet. I find a piston on the road behind me.
A strategic reload later and I'm taking the engine apart to get to the bastard cylinders to get them fixed before they get the chance to strand me.
Spent the rest of the weekend selling sugar wine to an alcoholic.
Started playing my summer car. Absolutely a game which doesn't really care about the player, but is incredibly compelling and has some great moments of hilarity.
Knowing almost nothing about how to assemble a car, I'm following a build guide but oh my word even with that it's an absolute sod.
Honest question: Are there people who genuinely enjoy playing My Summer Car – or the successor that’s just been released, My Winter Car?
I wanted to like it, but it’s just so hard, slow, punishing, non-fun (self-description in the trailer), that it just didn’t work for me. I wanted it as a “casual-grind Animal Crossing-like for grown-ups”, if that makes sense; and I hoped the sequel would cater to casual folks like me. But it’s supposed to be even harder.
