- Cool unidentified bird I've never seen ✅

(Sorry for the blurry shot. It was smaller than a pigeon, but it had a hawk-y/eagle-y head. It was golden brown, almost orange on top and white on the bottom. It was far more impressive in person 😝)

Starts as just a typical “robin taking a bath designed to throw the maximum amount of water” video, but then there’s a cameo from a smaller bird landing on the wire cloche and then doing a bit of hopping.

Too small for a small woodpecker, I think. Maybe a Yellow-Rumped Warbler? The black and white could just be showing up better with the camera and the light.

Another new bird doing some light borbin’

Could this be a Pine Siskin (Northern)?

Merlin ID often identifies sounds as them in my area but the birds are usually way up high in trees that are too far away to get a look at. At first I was thinking it could be one of the goldfinch varieties but the pattern looks like possible siskin.

This bird is a mystery. A little smaller than an American robin, but wrong colors and behavior. It kind of looks like an enormous sparrow or warbler to me. Thoughts?
