This weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Muttaburrasaurus.
In 1963, Doug Langdon found a partial skeleton near the Thomson River not too far from the town of Muttaburra. It was collected by Dr Alan Bartholomai and entomologist Edward Dahms.
I was prepared slowly and carefully over the following years. In 1981, Bartholomai and Ralph Molnar named it Muttaburrasaurus Langdoni, after the town, and person who found it.
In 2022 Muttaburrasaurus was named the State Fossil Emblem of Queensland.
