Bandcamp bans purely AI-generated music from its platform

Indie music store says it wants fans to have confidence music was largely made by humans.

Using pure #musicSynthesis, you either have to forego all that, and settle for a characteristically sterile sound, or else make up for it by your own painstakingly detailed efforts, which I haven’t had the patience to learn to do. On the other hand, the possibilities of #algorithmic processes (not “AI”) and live interaction (e.g. #MaxMSP) are quite attractive. And using #samples rather than synthesis can preserve the organic complexity of sound that I like—as long as you don’t overcook it.

If you peeked @ C030, wait half cycle, peek @ C030, wait half cycle, you had a full cycle square wave.

One day I realized that C020, the cassette out port did the same. I modified games searching for C030 & replacing w/C020.

Then I started writing code to generate music. Track 9 (Untitled V slow) is quite satisfying in terms of timbre. Especially going back 38 years later and hearing what a lowly 1MHz 6502 could do is rewarding.
