When a band becomes "stablished"?

I don't find sad seeing old bands tour and play only their most popular songs.

I do find sad that they don't release new albums, or they do but it's contractually-obligated trash or they go creatively bankrupt.

There are few bands who don't. I'll put #DreamTheater on that list.
