Today's Musical Mood on Line 10:
Cameron White: Take It With You

The Specials: A Message to You, Rudy
Somewhat iconoclastic playlist!
Not as much a #musicalmood as just a recommendation: Vulture by Bear Ghost.
I have a soft spot for songs about religion, both positive religious experience and religious trauma. Vulture is VERY SOLIDLY in the trauma category, and does an excellent job of illustrating the effects of toxic, abusive theology.
It's also one of the most cathartic pieces of music I've listened to in a long time. The dissonance, the KEY CHANGE, the narrative...ugh! Perfection.

Current musical mood is Bjork's "107 steps".
Throughout the whole song there's just...counting. With the counting and the music building you expect something big, something sinister. The tension is delicious, and perhaps, I could say...a mood?
And then it just sort of ends.
Another musical mood rn is J. S. Bach's Invention No. 4 in D Minor. I compare this piece a lot to the Guardian Battle theme from Breath of the Wild; it's mechanical and urgent. Depending on how it's played, it can also have a sort of monotonous vibe, which creates dissonance with the mechanical urgency, a dissonance I am really feeling now. I feel like I'm fighting a boss battle. I feel like I have been for weeks.
Current musical mood is Mad Dog by The Crane Wives
Like a mad dog after a rabbit I keep runnin' runnin' runnin', runnin'
I don't feel like it gets me anywhere, anywhere
You know the
kickback is automatic it keeps comin' comin' comin', comin'
Knocking me down to the bottom and keeping me there
