I salvaged what's left of an old, upright piano from the desert. While it's been well-gutted, the frame and strings are still intact. It may never be a piano again per se, but it's still a musical instrument capable of producing melody, and deserving of respect. I just couldn't stand the thought of it rotting away in the blistering Mojave sun.
From what I've been able to determine, it was made by M Schultz Co in Chicago circa 1923.
