Reiss’ distinctive style, characterized by delicate lines and vibrant pastel shades, weaves together elements of folklore, nature, and nostalgia, infusing the urban landscape with whimsical tales and enchanting motifs. Her mesmerizing murals transcend time and borders, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a world of boundless imagination.

Appreciating Street Art and Murals

When I view street art and murals, I enjoy observing the details and techniques used by the artists. It is exciting to look for hidden messages or symbolism within the artwork. I believe that location and context is essential to understand a mural. For example, Magic Music Ride’s location is steeped in the rich history of its location. The building, formerly known as the Little Mountain Sound Studio, holds a storied past as an under-the-radar recording studio where iconic artists like Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Metallica, Bryan Adams, Mötley Crüe, David Lee Roth, Loverboy, and The Cult brought legendary music to life.

I take a photo to capture the moment when I have connected with mural. Whether it’s the intricate details, the vibrant colours, or the powerful symbolism, each mural holds a unique story worth preserving in a snapshot. It’s a way to immortalize the transient beauty and cultural significance of street art, allowing me to carry a piece of that transformative experience with me.
