#mudlarkers don’t just find British history on the #thames - this is a Russian lead flax bag seal. And you can see the date 1793. This tells you the inspectors name, rank and the growers name. Kind of like a modern day QR code!
An example of some finds from the #thames #foreshore - #mudlarking requires a licence from the Port of London authority and they have currently put a hold on issuing licences to new #mudlarkers
Ask me any questions you want about what we find, how we do it etc - happy to answer
