Cube trophyyyyy.

P1P1 Pearl into a very confused Pack 1 featuring a Recurring Nightmare turned into a dream with pack 2 giving plenty of White Nightmare targets and Pack 3 rounding out the removal suite and token generation. Really nice deck that certainly would have lost to any unfair decks if I had encountered them. #mtgarena #mtgcube

I take back everything bad I said about this cube costing 1500/10000 to enter. This was worth it,

Of all of my designs, however, I find myself drifting away from hard numbers of cards in a cube, more in favor of variance.

Only really the Pauper 540 is bound to rigid numbers of cards, i.e. balanced colors, specifically 540 cards (not including its cool artifact land seed). The rest have some extra here and there.

I used to be very design-driven about that in particular as I've been known to be practically neurotic about some kinds of symmetry or proportion, but this feels kinda right. Weird, but right. After all, it's just a pile of cards to play with right?

It seems I have a problem. I just can't stop spending hours designing #mtg cubes. So far and counting, I have a pauper 540, a battlebox, a jumpstart cube of 20+ half decks, a premodern micro cube, a desert bar cube... Where does it end?

Anybody out there know any really good tools for analyzing your own collection of MtG cards? I'm digitizing my collection with Manabox and am wondering if there are any good analytical/browsing tools for local desktop use, i.e. Moxfield but with Scryfall searchability and Cubecobra analysis.

Failing all else, I'll just code one up myself, but that means my having to learn something about coding a UI. I can make a database sing, but the last experience I had with a UI was putting together an RShiny dashboard.
