Pour illustrer, le sommet du Mont Fuji au Japon, fait « comme il faut » : départ le soir vers 22h00, arrivée avant le lever du soleil vers 04h00 après une marche de nuit, où il ne fait jamais vraiment noir et où comme partout au Japon, on n’est jamais vraiment seul.
C'était en l’an 2000. « Tout Japonais doit gravir le Mont Fuji une fois dans sa vie. Seul le fou le ferait deux fois. »

A view of Mount Fuji from the shore of Lake Yamanaka. The conditions were not ideal for the classic mirrored reflection (with ripples on the water and little snow on the mountain), but a longer shutter speed helped and retained the quiet mood of the scene. It took several attempts to get the tighter shots semi-handheld...... Afterall, it was worth getting up at 4:30 a.m. for this view.
