Some miraculous powers of recovery today.

After 5 hours of getting ink done, my body was well and truly done. Yet, somehow, I found a little reserve of energy to get myself looking pretty. I wasn't going to turn up to a 50th looking anything but spectacular. Really just grit and determination to keep going. Can't believe I am backing up tomorrow for the other side.

A few years down the road...

This was one of the first dresses I ever had the courage to try on instore back in 2022. I remember having one of the biggest hits of euphoria in that dressing room that I just had to buy it. It took me another 4 months or so to work up the courage to wear it.

It's been a few years now, and I have a wardrobe full of cute dresses, but this one still has special meaning for me and is a good reminder of how far I've come.

Starting to finally like my body.

Two years on HRT and I have reached an important milestone, I am fairly comfortable with my body. It's feminine and is finally feeling right when I look in the mirror. My journey is far from complete, but reaching this point dispell's some old fears and fills me with joy.

A halloween special today...

I might not have plans 😕 but I can still get in touch with the spirits and enjoy myself by breaking in a new dress. This was a bit different from my usual style. No bold colours and a double leg slit but it gave me some great euphoria. So much that it was hard to stop spinning.

Caught up with my parents this week, my dad made me laugh in a weirdly affirming way. He was a little concerned that I was going goth.

I was not wearing any black, so it was just bizarre, but I also loved that we are at the stage where those things are what he worries about now.

I used to be way too serious...

It used to be an effort to smile for the camera. Most of the time, it just looked fake, so I just had to perfect a cool stare.

Nowadays, it is hard to wipe the smile from my face. My whole mindset is different. Just looking at myself in the mirror sometimes leaves me on a high.

Celebrating the other part of my identity this bi awarness week.

Coming out as trans didn't change everything, but it did make me a lot more confident and comfortable with who I am.

I had been in the closet for a long time. After all, it didn't seem like it mattered since I was in a happy relationship.

Except it meant that I missed connecting with a community that could have helped me understand myself. It also meant that I continually questioned myself in so many ways.
