Today I’m back in Microsoft Flight Simulator, mostly because I was craving another go in the Daher TBM 930.
I flew the first leg manually, battling gusty winds that really made the plane wobble. But as I wound my way north through the valleys, the wind began to settle. By the time I reached Terrace-Kitimat, the wind was gone so I was able to put the plane down on the runway in a butter-smooth way 🧈

#Liberec (LKLB) Bestes Wetter, klare Luft. Viel Grün, viel Ruhe – die #Elbe hier noch eher ein Bach als ein Fluss. #Riesengebirge #VFR

Leichter Dunst, aber die Landschaft liefert trotzdem ab. Enge Täler, Felsen, Kurven ohne Ende. Da weiß man wieder, warum man nicht nur geradeaus fliegt. #SächsischeSchweiz Leider keine Flugfunk Abdeckung.
Raum #Magdeburg
Wetter stabil, Sicht gut. Flachland setzt sich durch, Landwirtschaft dominiert. Die Piste von "Magdeburg Information" in Sicht.
Weiter Richtung Norden / #Hitzacker
Mehr Wolken, leicht diesig. Schöne Schleifen im Fluss, kleine Orte, viel Natur – wirkt fast entschleunigt. #Niedersachsen
#Hamburg / Hafenbereich
Golden Hour, leicht dunstig. Container ohne Ende, Kräne, Schiffe – plötzlich fühlt sich der Fluss wie Autobahn an. #HamburgerHafen
Elbmündung / #Nordsee
Wolken nehmen zu, Sicht wird milchiger. Wasser soweit das Auge reicht, ordentlich Verkehr auf dem Wasser.
Raus aufs Meer Richtung #Helgoland
Ruhiger Flug über offenem Wasser in 2.000 ft. Da die #Diamond #DA62 zwei Motoren habe traue ich mich so niedrig zu fliegen. Erst Heading, dann Richtung Helgoland VOR.
Ziel: #EDXH Helgoland
Kleiner Platz, ordentlich Wind, aber absolut passende Kulisse zum Abschluss.
Zwei #Friesen warten schon auf mich.
