Photo of the iconic Fimmvörðuháls trail linking Þórsmörk (Thórsmörk) and Skógar. The route leads over the high pass between Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull, thus offering numerous views of meltwater waterfalls cascading over glacier-carved cliffs like these. It’s often hiked as an extension of the popular Laugavegur trail, but also works as a stand-alone route.
