Kinda obsessed with the Mountain Lion Petroglyph by the Ancestral Pueblo from the Petrified Forest in Arizona. This would make a really great tattoo.
A #mountainLion has been safely captured in #SanFrancisco today. The lion is a juvenile male that's previously been tagged and released in Saratoga, more than 50 miles away.
Today it was shot with tranquilizer darts as it was hiding under a Pacific Heights apartment building. It's been taken to Oakland Zoo for veterinary care.
Given that it's a "problem" lion, it may end up in a sanctuary, rather than being rereleased.

@tsturm @jmccyoung @catsalad @dev Oooh, it was on the other side of the park, in a similar location. I apparently owe someone money lol.
"...At 6:21 a.m. on Tuesday, an alert was sent to San Francisco residents reporting the animal had been located and that animal control employees were on the scene. The animal was located at Octavia and California streets, near the landmark Atherton House, in the wealthy Pacific Heights neighborhood, where the animal was cornered by officials. .."

"S.F. mountain lion tranquilized, will be released into wild
Shortly before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, a California Fish and Wildlife officer arrived with what appeared to be a tranquilizer gun and walked into the apartment building at California and Octavia streets attached to the yard where the lion was hiding. A shot sounded. Officials quickly brought in a cage.
“It is a male around 2 years old and 77 pounds. He is doing OK. Fish and Wildlife will take him and release him to a natural habitat"
