“I’ve said this before and I repeat it, without any controversy, but I’ve never seen an Confindustria this available, let’s say, and dialoguing with a government after 35 months of industrial production decline over 40. But it’s up to us to protect it; it’s the task of the progressive forces to protect the real economy.” Giuseppe Conte, leader of the 5-Star Movement, stated this during the presentation of Barbara Floridia’s book ‘C’era una volta la Rai’ (Once Upon a Time Rai), president of the parliamentary commission overseeing Rai.
“We have a higher tax burden than during the Monti years. We have very low wages, extremely low wages, and we have an increase in poverty.” He was referring to Meloni’s speech at the Confindustria assembly, “I was surprised by these very words that I heard from President Meloni, who once again presents herself and says in a loud voice: ‘Italy has returned to being authoritative and credible.’ And she said more, ‘we are growing in economic sectors.’ Now the economic sectors that matter are today rare earths, critical materials, chips, semiconductors, energy infrastructure.
