Type specimensGT Canon, the latest release by Grilli Type (January 2026), was designed as a counterpart to their GT Standard, and aims to be “our answer to what our digital times require of a serif today.” The collection consists of a proportional type collection in five widths, each in seven weights, three optical sizes and italics, plus a monospaced counterpart in seven weights and italics (no optical sizes).

katch wreckmy brain is so funny, every 12-24 hours i get tired of the same font on my sourcecode editor, so i've taken to rotating amongst 4 or 5 different monospaced fonts every 12-24 hours or so... right now my list is (in no particular order)
- consolas
- noto mono
- courier new
- deja vu sans mono
- ubuntu mono
are there any other good ones i should try? :)

ottoGraphicSome typographic close-ups of the Receipt or Ticket de caisse. I couldn’t come by a typeface which I liked, so I created my own, I call it ‘Ottotext’. It is a monospaced dot-matrix font based on a minimum of 6x6pixels. There are different varieties: tall on 12x6 pixels, or bold on 12x12 pixels, large on 12x24 pixels, and so on. The English version is straightforward, but in the French I had to skip some of the accents. This font is ‘handmade’ on a grid by ´drawing in’ the actual pixels and copy-pasting. The image is made on a 421x1194 pixel canvas, using photoshop 6 on System 9.2, G4 Powermac.
Final screen printed size of 120 x 42 cm.

TeklImmer wieder erstaunlich, wie viel Herzblut Schriftdesigner wie #FabrizioSchiavi in winzige Details eines Fonts stecken. Schön zu sehen, dass es nach Jahren mal wieder ein Update gibt.
