I love this band on multiple levels.
When I was watching ’Monkey Man’ earlier this year and Dana Dan started playing it was a top tier cinematic moment.

When I sang the praises of the first major action scene, that wasn’t intended to diminish the merits of the final major action scene… which is also off the charts.
Monkey Man has a lot of great and interesting things in it, but it also is structured around two major action scenes.
The first action sequence, roughly in the middle of the film, is totally wild. It keeps going and going, getting crazier as it goes along.
This is a good movie to watch a second time. Characters are introduced early on, but their relevance isn’t fully revealed till later.
