@smellsofbikes that is excellent! I'd never heard of it before.

I've been participating in 24 Hours of Lemons for a few years now and while I can handle the idea of a make or break botch repair when it is only a weekend of racing on the line, I think it'd probably break my spirit to have a grand adventure spoiled by having my shitbox give up the ghost in the middle of nowhere :)

I might give the Lemons Rally or even the Gambler 500 a try tho..
