I think the greatest casualty of #socialmedia may be #subtlety.
An entire generation has arisen who believes we must #love or #hate everything, there is no abiguity. That every emotional colour of the rainbow can be reduced to a #binary #like or #dislike so it can be fed into the gaping maw of an #algorithm and thence #monetized.
#PublicHealthCare should never be #monetized & #monopolized for profits. Doing so results in more avoidable deaths, disabilities & illnesses - it never results in better patient quality care. Monetizing #HealthCare makes it #inaccessible for majority of citizens who need it the most.
Fight all levels of government to keep public health care - public & fight for changes so that it is actually accessible to all citizens & not just the privileged.

This represents the entire problem with #corporate #SocialMedia ownership. You aren't a person, you're a source of #data to be #monetized and manipulated. Have you read the terms you agreed to when you signed up? It isn't really your #content anymore.
Especially now that your content is being used to train #AI models. Sure you retain ownership over your content (usually), and you can delete it (or "delete" it), but it doesn't get magically taken out of the AI's trained model when you do. You may still own your content, but they get to do anything they want with it and not share a single penny of the money they may get because of it.

I make zero money on my #Youtube channel, I was monetized a few years ago, but when covid hit, I took time off and YouTube had a fit about it and de-monetized me. That was a kick in the gut, until I realized that in 6 years I barely made enough money to cover the cost of my web cam lol..
So my decision on my channel is I will not re-apply to be #monetized
again until 1Million subs. 😂
