On A Clear Day:
Some days are just so breathtakingly clear that you feel like every little detail becomes a part of The Moment.
From the Seagull in the foreground, to the crash of the waves behind it, to the distinct signature of the twin towers at Moss Landing 14 miles away; to finally the heavy clouds above the distant Santa Cruz mountains, it cries out to not just be viewed, but absorbed into one's soul.

Bubbles:
Evelia and I arrived at Window On The Bay in Monterey a few hours before the local No Kings Rally.
Except for the some of the organizers setting things up, the crowd at the park was surprisingly light, something which changed considerably later.
But one of them already had the bubble machine going, and I spent a few shots trying to see if I could get a focus lock on them.
This frame with a bicyclist in the background was my favorite.
Snowy Springfield Morning:
Immediately prior to moving to the West Coast, Evelia and I lived in Springfield IL near downtown on a tree-lined street that looked like something straight our of a Norman Rockwell painting.
Especially when it was covered in fresh-fallen snow.
Two Guys, a Guitar, and a Dog:
Still posting pics from my Library in honor of #Minneapolis and all those I know (and many I don't) who live there.
Not sure if this is exactly a #SilentSunday pic, but to this day it is one of the most Zen pics I have.
It was a taken on a beautiful Spring weekend in early May 2015 and these two with their furry friend had been performing around Minnehaha Park, eventually deciding to chill behind the falls.
Thought experiment:
Imagine all the armchair experts on US domestic politics—including well meaning Europeans—actually knew the real convoluted rules of Congress, the Judiciary, and the Executive branch.
And for just a wee moment, let’s imagine voters and journalists knew civics too.
