My brother and partner were visiting Marcos island in Florida on their sail kayaking adventure and took a picture of this very cute mollusk
“I’m looking at you!”
It looks like what I call a cone shell but I’m not sure.
Update from comment:
“It is a Florida Fighting Conch. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strombus_alatus”
🌊🐚 Scientists teamed up with YouTuber Ze Frank to let the public name a bizarre new species of deep-sea #chiton found over 5,000 meters down.
The winner? Ferreiraella populi – the "chiton of the people." The strange #mollusk lives exclusively on sunken wood and carries a tiny community of worms near its tail.

Trilobite lovers, meet the blue green chiton! Though it resembles some trilobites, this critter is actually a #mollusk that inhabits waters around Australia & New Zealand. Growing about 1.4 in (3.5 cm) long, this nocturnal critter can roll into a ball when threatened or disturbed.
